Hi, I'm Dr Sam Casey
I've spent 20+ years working with children and families — and I created the Play Prescription® Method because I kept seeing the same gap: professionals who genuinely wanted to help, but lacked a practical framework that worked beyond the therapy room.
My PhD (marked in the top 5%) was built on one core belief: that self-awareness and inner work are just as important as clinical knowledge. That belief is at the heart of everything I teach.
The Play Prescription® Method is a 5-pillar framework that takes cycle-breaking, healing and growth outside the therapy room — into the hands of professionals and parents who are with children every day.
It combines the wisdom of play therapy, psychology and child development into a practical, adaptable framework — one you can implement from day one, not after 16 weeks of theory.

Early in my career, I found the mental health system to be broken: most trainings are targeted to mental health professionals and overlook the wisdom of those who are with children day in, day out — their parents and the professionals who work alongside them.
Even the trainings that exist often miss the fact that interacting with kids will bring up your own stuff too. Cycle-breaking requires more than knowledge — it requires new experiences, less shame, and more compassion.
That's why I created a practical method that teaches healing and growth, alongside kids — beyond the therapy room.
